What is the Fidei Score?

The Fidei Score shows how directly an answer is grounded in the sources of the Catholic faith— whether from official Church teaching, the saints, or broader Catholic voices. It’s designed to give you transparency and confidence about where your answer comes from.

The voices we draw from:

• Magisterial: Official Church teaching such as the Catechism, Councils, Papal documents, and Scripture.
• Saints & Trusted Theologians: Writings of the saints and respected Catholic scholars.
• Catholic Commentary: Vetted Catholic websites and publications.
• General Sources: Broader content included in some modes with AI enrichment.

How the score works

• Magisterial Mode: Always shows the highest score (10/10), since it draws only from official Church teaching.
• Balanced Mode: Combines Magisterial sources with enrichment from saints and theologians, so the score reflects that mix.
• Devotional Mode: Devotional Mode: Highlights the voices of saints and theologians without assigning a numerical score.
• Broad Mode: Intentionally casts the widest net including general web and AI generated sources. No score shown.
